Sicuramente l'invidia c'entra, ma credo che ci sia qualcosa di più dietro. Non è che Simone sia rientrata da un giorno all'altro, si sapeva. -

Sofia tutto sommato avrebbe anche possibilità considerando che Paseka e Steingruber sono fuori. Mi vengono in mente la Devillard, Melnikova, Devai, Belak e un'altra slovena...almeno la finale ni sembra più che fattibile.

L'unica cosa che mi tirava su il morale in questa situazione disastrosa era la possibilità di medaglia di Lara al corpo libero..

.Cambiando tema...Anche Ashton Locklear ha appena pubblicamente dichiarato di essere una delle vittime di Larry Nassar.
Ho appena letto che Ashton è sotto inchiesta per aver bullizzato e minacciato un sacco di bambine/ragazzine nella sua ex palestra... Lascio i dettagli in inglese qui sotto:CITAZIONEAshton apparently “bullied, verbally abused, and threatened minors” for years, both as a minor herself and then as an adult. A few girls were highly targeted by her (“she only called my daughter fat but she made those other girls’ lives hell” according to one parent), including one who is now in college and wants to speak at Ashton’s panel hearing on Aug 10-11, but is afraid to come forward publicly. Many of the girls she victimized were 6+ years younger than her and she also bullied a couple of current national team members who may or may not come forward for the hearing.
After years of this behavior, the straw that broke the camel’s back was when Ashton rented an Airbnb for her birthday and invited her teammates, some as young as 13, to her party and told them “don’t tell your parents there’s going to be alcohol.” That in itself wasn’t really a bad thing (slash almost every teenager has done this, and the people I talked to kind of laughed at this like “my daughter’s the one who told us all worried and we were like this is a normal kid thing to do”) but some parents were really upset about it with everything else that had gone on, so they decided after this party – where Ashton was technically “putting minors in danger,” their reasoning – to file a SafeSport report against her.
The report was filed in February and Ashton was suspended from the gym during that time and while suspended Ashton thought it was probably best that she leave the gym, so Han called Laurent and asked him to “give her a second chance” because at first Laurent was leery about taking someone who had been suspended by her previous gym (slash we all know Simone runs WCC and is like THE one person who won’t take any of Ashton’s shit, lol).
A former FBI agent was assigned to investigate Ashton’s case, but he doesn’t respond to emails from concerned parents, and though the report “finds her completely at fault,” nothing has been done in response to this. The parents seem to think that USAG is just going to ride it out, because they’ll name a new national team in a month anyway and Ashton won’t be on it with her injury, so this is kind of their “out” but they’re concerned that Ashton will run into their kids at a meet and their kids will feel threatened/upset if they get put in the same rotation or something, and worse, they feel that Ashton is going to begin coaching as her career option and they don’t think she should be in a position of power around minors.
This is all compiled partly from parents, and then also from a few of the children who were bullied and are still very upset about the treatment they faced, one of whom said “she threatened to ruin my life” and then acted on that threat (without getting into details, it was bad). I don’t want to make any judgments personally, so this is literally all them and none of me or my opinion, but as much as I feel for Ashton as a victim of Nassar, I think it’s also important to tell the truth about how she has treated others. It doesn’t take away from her being a victim (and maybe her own victimization is what caused her to lash out against others), but an adult threatening and harrassing minors is a legit crime and she’s lucky parents went to SafeSport and not law enforcement.
I’m sure USAG wants to keep this quiet, but I think I’m going to try to do what I did with Alex Naddour and give them a call just asking for details about the panel hearing…though I’m sure one of the reasons she came forward about Han being “abusive” is so now if USAG suspends her or something, it’ll look like retaliation, which kind of puts USAG in a bind…but SafeSport literally “found her at fault’ and so USAG kind of HAS to do something, though I agree that with the timing of her hearing and nationals, they’re probably just waiting to name a new national team and then act like they were planning on suspending her after the hearing but then she didn’t get named to the team again so they didn’t have to suspend her or something. -
.Agli europei del 2016 non ci fu molta scelta che io ricordi, fasana e Ferrari erano ancora in ripresa e Ferlito si era infortunata a Jesolo. Le altre in lizza per le Olimpiadi c'erano tutte! Non hanno di certo indovinato la gara, non abbiamo sicuramente fatto bene come squadra, ma non direi che era una formazione di serie B in quell'occasione e per le ginnaste che avevamo in quel momento...Mi pare di ricordare tra l'altro che Busato fece un ottima finale al voltaggio!
oddio davvero? io mi ricordo un discorso del tipo "non affaticare troppo chi andrà a Rio perchè c'è poca distanza tra le 2" non "non spaccare chi non è ancora pronta" (che ci sta tutto) ma forse mi ricordo male
Anche io ricordo così. Eravamo stupiti che non fosse stata mandata nessuna veterana e qualcuno, me compresa, sosteneva che forse sarebbe stato il caso di mandare ginnaste che potevano ambire alla medaglia europea visto che quella olimpica sarebbe stata impossibile.. -

Non si può rimuovere quella squadra, non dopo le 7 cadute di quella finale. Caddero tutte a trave e Rizzelli 3 volte alle parallele. E potenzialmente avrebbro potuto fare molto bene. Ma fa conto che quell'europeo lo vinse la Romania..Sembrano passati secoli! -

Io capisco tutto, ma una situazione desolante come questa è de anni che non si vede. Ricordo ancora un utente "brixiano" che nel 2009, quando Casella non era più DTN, disse che quello era il peggior anno mai visto e che la gestione delle ginnaste era pessima, ai mondiali però arrivammo in finale a parallele con Licchetta e alla trave con Preziosa, roba che, esclusa Vanessa, non si vedeva da anni. Quest'anno ai mondiali sarà tanto se arriveremo a vedere 1/2 ginnaste entrare nella finale AA.
Qua il problema è che la gestione è sempre più palesemente di parte e si stanno facendo fuori le ginnaste che non seguono parola per parola quello che dice Casella. Rizzelli che viene ammessa agli assoluti su 3 attrezzi senza aver gareggiato e che non si presenta perchè non ancora pronta.. Ma secondo voi sarebbe stato riservato lo stesso trattamento a una non Brixia? Ferlito che per una volta si fa il culo, gareggia ovunque ottenendo ottimi punteggi (per lo standard nostro) e vuole ritornare a fare l'AA, e lui cosa fa? Intanto le dice che la vuole vedere solo a trave e corpolibero (perchè?), non la convoca nemmeno per il collegiale dei giochi del mediterraneo perchè vuole solo AAer (però poi fa gareggiare Linari proprio negli attrezzi di Carlotta) e le fa capire non troppo velatamente che anche per gli Europei non ci sono tante speranze. Cioè ma scherziamo? E questo il modo di valorizzare una ginnasta? Il risultato del giochi del mediterraneo è uno dei più brutti dell'ultimo decennio, contando che la Francia ha pure mandato la squadra B, e al momento la nostra ginnasta senior più competitiva è Lara, una bravissima ragazza che ha lavorato sodo e che si merita tutto, ma non certamente una ginnasta estremamente competitiva, dietro il vuoto. Grisetti che non riesce mai ad azzeccare 4 attrezzi su 4 e che cade praticamente sempre a parallele e corpolibero, Linari incostante e con D basse, Cereghetti idem, Basile che sembra non riuscire a riprendersi dall'infortunio, Maggio forse quella che ci può salvare, ma giustamente ancora indietro di preparazione. Forse è il caso di tenersela stretta una come Carlotta?
C'è un ossessione per le 2003 che fa quasi paura, non si tiene conto del fatto che gli infortuni sono all'ordine del giorno e che "annunciare" la squadra di Tokyo 3 anni prima forse non sia proprio il caso (tenendo anche conto che al momento loro 4 sono decisamente troppo polarizzate verso volteggio e parallele mentre sono deboli a trave e corpolibero, vedrei decisamente meglio avere una specialista di trave e corpolibero che al bisogno faccia anche gli altri due). Tutte le piccole vengono incentivate a trasferirsi a Brescia (che al momento ha troppe ginnaste) danneggiando tutte le altre società che potrebbero crescere tenedosi la propria ginnasta. Boh, secondo me l'intera situazione è brutta e Casella dovrebbe ridimensionarsi. -

Faceva ridere quando c'era qualche esercizio abbastanza semplice e urlava " this is going to be a massive score!!" per poi vedere un 11.20 
Però preferisco uno così rispetto ai commentatori inglesi che ridevano mentre commentavano le indiane ai Commonwealth Games...
Sono rimasta scioccata dalla trave dell'egiziana, mi pareva fosse Farah Hussein, che ha fatto flick+salto avvitato, Kochetkova, enjambeè pulitissimi e zero squilibri. Veramente un bellissimo esercizio!
Bravissima Lara e contenta per lei, Giada boh, non azzecca una gara che sia una e ultimamente cade sempre nel suo attrezzo di punta.
